Mt. Clemens CommitmentWhat is the Mount Clemens Commitment?

The Mount Clemens Commitment is a Non-Profit Foundation committed to a Universal Scholarship Program that guarantees a college scholarship to every student who is a resident of the Mount Clemens Community School District, graduates from Mount Clemens High School and is accepted by any public Michigan college or university.  The award will not be based on a minimum grade point average, merit, community service or financial need.  The scholarship program is based on the belief that the economic well-being of this entire community will be enhanced by supporting access to higher education for all of our graduates.

ELIGIBILITY

Be a senior graduating from Mount Clemens High School

(1) Has applied for, and

(2) been accepted into

(3) full-time enrollment in any two year or four year public university, college or other post-secondary institution of learning in the State of Michigan.

 

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Scholarship amount for the 2008-2009 academic year was a one time grant of $500.00 by regular Mount Clemens Educational Foundation business check, made payable jointly to the student and to the post-secondary educational institution, upon presentation of invoice of other acceptable evidence of financial obligation.

Selection Criteria

Complete applications, together with all required documents, must be postmarked and submitted to Ms. Barb Campau, High School Administrative Secretary, no later than May 15, 2010.
